Wedding Newspaper: Printed Specs
- 11″ x 17″ flat sheet
- Fold options:
Single Half fold: 8.5″ x 11″ finished size
Quarter fold: 8.5″ x 5.5″ finished size
- Printed on grey paper — 70 lb. text (a copy weight paper, a little heavier than newsprint)
- Black and white or full color
- 4 pages of content
NOTE: These are NOT printed on traditional newsprint, but the grey paper does give it a very “newspaper-like” feel. Printed samples are available to order here.
Printing on real newsprint is also possible, as well as higher quantities or special requests. Please use the Custom Request Form for a quote!
I contacted Ashley about a month before our wedding to try to get programs done quickly for us. Her eye for details and great customer service got us our programs in plenty of time. We had the BEST experience with Ashley! She was easy to work with and very responsive. As a side note: I’d highly recommend providing a newsletter (or something like this) for your guests. We were able to share so many pieces of details that went into making our wedding so special that guests would never have known about had we not documented it in this way. Text
All text is written by you. I can provide example articles and starting points to help you with the process. The pictured design is an example, consisting of article headlines that are meant to be humorous (similar to The Onion), but your text can be as serious or as goofy as you like—it’s all up to you!
Fonts & Design Style
Fonts and the overall design style used are as pictured in this listing. I can also use an alternate “newspaper” font for the masthead, as seen in the invitation design. Otherwise, if you’d like a new design with different fonts and style (i.e.: aged/vintage, art deco, western, etc), please use the Custom Request Form for a quote!
Proofs + Revisions
Three (3) PDF proofs are included with your order: the initial proof, plus two (2) rounds of revisions. Additional revisions after the 3rd proof are subject to a $25 fee per proof.
Approval
Final approval is required before sending your order to print. Please check the proof carefully. After approval, the final is immediately sent to the printer, and any further changes will require additional fees to reprint your order.
International Orders
Please use the Custom Request Form to start the ordering process for your custom wedding newspaper and I will send you a personalized quote, agreement, and invoice for secure payment. Shipping costs will be based on quantity/weight and country.

Timeline & Process
Standard processing time for design, production, and delivery is 4–5 weeks. This allows:
- 1+ week for design, checking the proof, and revisions
- 2 weeks for printing/production
- 1 week for delivery (Delivery usually takes 2-3 business days, but I prefer to allow at least one week as a buffer)
*Please note that the above processing time begins after I’ve received all content.*
You should factor in additional time to prepare content, complete my questionnaire, and provide photos. Actual timeline is dependent on how quickly you provide all text and photos for the newspaper, respond to proofs, and give feedback/revisions. The number of revision rounds may also delay the process.
Once you’ve placed the order, I will provide a schedule of deadlines based on your event date, and keep you updated on your ship date as we go!
THE PROCESS:
- Place your order online and provide payment
- Within 24 hours, I will email you links to your personal questionnaire and a file of example articles.
- Complete the questionnaire and submit your high-res photos by email.
- Proof: After receiving all content, 1st PDF proof is emailed within 3 business days
- Revisions: each revised proof can take 1-2 business days
- Final approval of proof is required before printing begins
- Printing/Production (after approval): 8-10 business days
- Delivery*: Estimated time is 2-3 business days for USA orders
*Delivery time is an estimate given by USPS and is not guaranteed. Standard shipping is via USPS Priority Mail. For international orders, delivery time varies and packages may be delayed at customs. Customs fees and VAT taxes are NOT included; international customers are responsible for these fees if applicable.
Overnight shipping via FedEx is also available for an additional fee.
Rush orders are sometimes available, depending on my current schedule. Please contact me before placing your order to ensure I can accommodate your event date. There is an added fee for rush orders; cost is dependent on the overall timing.
Policies & Notes
Since this is a customized item, I cannot accept returns—but please contact me as soon as possible if you have any problems with your order. I definitely want you to be happy with your prints! Please review the Shop Policies for more specific details before placing your order.
Colors may vary across different monitors and devices. What you see on your screen may not match the final prints. If color matching is a concern, please consider ordering a sample pack with a printed color chart for more accurate color selection.
Photos you provide must be high-resolution to result in a quality printed product (generally larger file sizes are better).
I always do my best to fix obvious errors when I see them, but it is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure all information, grammar, and spelling is correct before approving the proof to be printed. Once the design is approved and sent to the printer, any further changes will require additional fees for reprinting your order.

I ordered newspaper programs for my wedding and loved them! They turned out to be a highlight of my wedding. It was really special and unique and fun being able to use the space to help our guests get to know us and our wedding party better. Ashley is amazing to work with! Very responsive and accommodating.
