Hi, I’m Ashley! I make the entire process super easy. From the moment you book with me, I’ll set you up with a questionnaire to help you and your fiance gather the content for your newspaper, I’ll send over a file of example articles for inspiration that you can copy/modify to your heart’s content, and I’ll give you a login to your personal client portal where you’ll have access to everything related to your order in one place. And once you’re done with your content, I’ll take care of the rest: with clean design, prompt revisions based on your feedback, quality printing, and professional packaging/shipping.
You’re hiring a professional publication designer. For real! I started my graphic design career working for a gardening magazine back in the day, and since then have designed countless newsletters and recreation guides for clients in the corporate/government world. I’ve brought those talents over to the wedding industry and absolutely love helping couples share their stories in the newspaper format!
I ensure high quality. I love clean, professional, polished design, and will do my best work for you. I’ll make sure your photos have great contrast and that the final printed pieces are held to my quality standards. I have a critical eye for detail and will do my best to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible, with a finished product that I can stand behind.
You can include whatever content you want, and I’ll make it look good! I may start from a general template, but each newspaper I design is truly unique to the couple. You aren’t limited in the types of things you can include, other than an overall word count for the number of pages ordered. That means if an article goes long on the front page, we can continue it elsewhere. Want to include a photo collage of your pets? No problem. Have an extra large wedding party? I’ve lost count, but I think I’ve done upwards of 35 people before, and we’ll make it work! The point is, whatever content you dream up, I’ll create a custom layout for you that is polished and professional.
I have the experience and I’m here to help! As you gather your content and write your articles, I’ll be available by email for any questions, feedback, or brainstorming ideas—I’ve gained a ton of experience helping couples put these together, and I’m happy to provide that expertise!

1: THE CONTENT PHASE
I’ll send over a questionnaire to help you gather all the content needed for your newspaper, as well as some example articles for inspiration. I’ll include suggested word counts and sections to give you a starting point, but ultimately you can include anything you want (as long as it fits somewhere within the number of pages for your order).
I’ll be available by email if you need any feedback or suggestions during this time!
2: THE DESIGN PHASE
Once you’re finished writing and gathering your content and have filled out my questionnaire, I will design a custom layout for you! If you have any preferences for where things should go, you can let me know, but otherwise I will design a newspaper layout that works best with the content you provide.
You can usually expect a PDF proof by email within 3 business days. At that point, you’ll have a chance to review everything before it’s printed.
3: THE REVISION PHASE
Once you’ve received your PDF proof, take some time to look over everything carefully and make sure everything’s perfect! If you need revisions, I will make those changes based on your feedback and send a revised proof for you to review.
You’ll have two rounds of revisions included with your order, but if you need more, additional rounds are billed at $25 per proof. We will go back and forth until you are happy with the final design and it’s approved for printing.
4: THE PRODUCTION PHASE
Once everything is approved, your order is immediately sent into production for final printing! Production time depends on the project, but typically takes up to two weeks. I will make sure the process goes smoothly with high quality prints. If your order includes any finishing work (folding, twine assembly, envelope stuffing, etc), I will handle those details and care.
Final prints are packaged and shipped to you via USPS Priority Mail, and I’ll send over a tracking number so you can keep an eye on delivery timing.
The cost for custom wedding newspapers will vary based on the size and number of pages, quantity, and other printing/finishing specs. You can also add twine or ribbon assembly, printed envelope addressing, envelope liners, and more; all of which will impact your quote.
